Marcie
Mixed Media Painting
Meet Marcie.
Marcie was created during one of those wonderfully unproductive afternoons when my body was sitting at a desk, but my soul had already clocked out hours ago.
You know the feeling. Technically, there's work to be done. Emails are piling up. Responsibilities are waiting patiently. But mentally? You're somewhere far away, dressed entirely too fabulous for the occasion, sipping a martini, and absolutely refusing to participate in anyone else's chaos.
That's Marcie.
With her oversized sunglasses, bold bandana, gold hoops, and cocktail in hand, Marcie embodies the art of looking unbothered. She's glamorous without trying, confident without apologizing, and perfectly content minding her own business while everyone else worries about deadlines.
Creating her felt like leaning into a daydream. I wanted to capture that carefree alter ego we all have tucked away somewhere. The version of ourselves that isn't stressing about spreadsheets, schedules, or obligations. The version that's a little dramatic, a little glamorous, and fully committed to enjoying the moment.
The vibrant colors, playful lines, and expressive personality make Marcie impossible to ignore. She brings humor, attitude, and just the right amount of sass to any space she inhabits.
Marcie isn't running away from responsibility. She's simply reminding us that life shouldn't be all responsibility.
For anyone who has ever glanced at the clock at 2:00 PM and whispered, "It's five o'clock somewhere," Marcie sees you. And she's already ordered the next round. 🍸✨🦒
