Hunter
Mixed Media Painting
Meet Hunter, the patron saint of taking a deep breath and realizing you don't have to have it all figured out today.
Hunter was created during one of those rare, beautiful moments when I felt completely at peace with where I am in life. My mind was wandering through old memories, revisiting pieces of the past, while quietly dreaming about what the future might hold. Not with anxiety. Not with urgency. Just curiosity.
There was no pressure that day.
No five-year plan to perfect. No race to win. No overwhelming need to know exactly what comes next.
Just presence.
As I painted, Hunter seemed to emerge from that feeling. Sitting quietly in his own colorful world, he feels like the embodiment of contentment, reflection, and possibility. His wide eyes seem to be taking everything in, reminding us that life doesn't always need to be rushed or solved. Sometimes it's enough to simply be here and appreciate the journey.
The vibrant colors layered throughout the painting mirror the many experiences that shape us along the way, while the deep blue background creates a sense of calm, like sitting under a night sky and letting your thoughts drift wherever they need to go.
Hunter is a reminder that growth doesn't always happen through action. Sometimes it happens through stillness. Through reflection. Through trusting that life will unfold in its own time.
For the dreamers, the thinkers, the nostalgics, and anyone learning to embrace the beauty of not knowing exactly what's next, Hunter offers a gentle reminder: you're allowed to be a work in progress.
And honestly, he's perfectly okay with that. 🐸💙✨
