Mixed Media on Canvas 8×8
A Season for Everything was painted after the sudden passing of a family friend from cancer. Although I didn’t know her deeply, her death stopped me long enough to think about how fragile life is—and how little of it is actually within our control.
The forget-me-nots became a symbol of remembrance, while the small ladybug feels almost like a quiet reminder of life continuing among loss. This piece is rooted in my faith and in the sovereignty of God: the belief that there is a season for everything, even when we don’t understand its purpose.
There is a time to bloom and a time to fade, a time to grieve and a time to rejoice. He gives, and He takes away. And somewhere between the two, we are asked to trust Him.
This painting is both a remembrance and a reminder—to cherish what has been given to us while it is here.
